Adeola Ayoola is a Nigerian pharmacist, health-tech entrepreneur and digital-health innovator best known as the Co-Founder and CEO of Famasi Africa, a Nigerian health-tech company focused on improving access to medicines and modernising pharmacy services through technology. Her career combines professional pharmacy experience with entrepreneurship, digital healthcare and artificial intelligence.

Ayoola studied Pharmacy at Obafemi Awolowo University, graduating with a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree in 2016. Before founding Famasi, she gained experience across different areas of the pharmaceutical sector, including hospital, retail, primary healthcare, wholesale and distribution. She also worked at mPharma, where she gained deeper insight into the challenges pharmacies and patients face in accessing and managing medicines.

Her experiences as a pharmacist exposed her to the difficulties patients sometimes encounter when obtaining essential medicines, particularly people who require regular prescriptions. These experiences contributed to her decision to explore technology as a way of making medication access more convenient and efficient.

In 2021, Ayoola co-founded Famasi Africa with Umar Faruq Akinwunmi. The company initially focused on helping people order and receive medicines digitally. As the business grew, Famasi expanded beyond medication delivery to develop technology for pharmacies themselves, including tools for inventory management, point-of-sale operations and pharmacy connectivity.
Famasi has since developed into a broader digital-health platform connecting patients, pharmacies and healthcare providers. Its services include medication delivery, prescription management and technology designed to help pharmacies operate more efficiently. The company has expanded its network across multiple Nigerian states.

Ayoola has also embraced artificial intelligence as part of her approach to healthcare innovation. Famasi was selected for the Google for Startups Accelerator: AI First programme in 2023, where the company explored AI applications for healthcare and pharmacy operations. Its technology has been applied to areas such as predicting medication demand, improving inventory management and connecting patients with available medicines.
Her work has earned recognition within Nigeria’s technology ecosystem. In 2026, YNaija included Ayoola among its 100 People in Tech, while Google has highlighted her journey from pharmacy into AI and health-tech entrepreneurship.

Adeola Ayoola’s journey demonstrates how professional healthcare knowledge can be combined with technology and entrepreneurship to address practical challenges within the healthcare system. Through Famasi Africa, she continues to contribute to Nigeria’s growing digital-health ecosystem, particularly in pharmacy technology, medication access, digital healthcare and AI-driven innovation.
