Early Life and Education
Agboola holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria and an MBA from the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School. Under his leadership, Flutterwave has expanded significantly, including raising major funding rounds and pushing into new markets.
More recently, Agboola led Flutterwave’s acquisition of Mono, a Nigerian open-banking startup founded in 2020, in an all-stock deal valued at between $25 million and $40 million. He has also launched Go Time AI, an initiative designed to support African startups building artificial intelligence products, offering up to $200,000 in funding and mentorship to selected startups.
