He later became Marketing Director at group.jumia.com, leading digital marketing and growth initiatives that strengthened the company’s market presence. He also served as the first Chief Executive Officer of farmcrowdy.com, where he helped scale one of Africa’s pioneering agritech platforms connecting farmers with investors through technology.
In 2019, Akumah co-founded Treepz with the vision of transforming public transportation across Africa through technology. The platform enables commuters to book bus rides digitally, access safe and reliable transportation, and make cashless payments while helping transport operators improve fleet management and operational efficiency.
